My name is Emem. I am in my early 30s and I am a mother of 4 kids.
My eldest child is 12 yo and my youngest child is 1 yo.
I want to be an influencer but I don’t know how and where to start.
To give you a background of who I am and my why’s, I’d like to share with you my position about where exactly I am in our current digital age.
I started blogging in 2003, when blogging was my digital diary. I used it to document my life and polish my English skills. In 2007, I signed up using my very first Facebook account and since then I enjoyed scrolling around, sharing and engaging with other people using this platform. I also learned how to create a page, a group and use it to buy and sell. In 2014, I signed up on Instagram and use it for personal and business use too, however, I still feel that I haven’t fully maximized these platforms though I heard that some people earned from blogging, Facebook and Instagram and it kinda intrigues me and it gave me the desire to aspire and become an influencer wishing that someday this would put food on our table.
Well, I am not only after the “possible” income that I could get if I succeed in monetizing my digital content but throughout the years, I realized that blogging and social media became a part of me. Honestly, it is very difficult for me to go on in a day without checking my Facebook or Instagram. I can’t also go on in a day without engaging, commenting, sharing my experiences and having a good conversation with a stranger on the internet.
I am a comfortable to say though, that yes, my digital properties are extension of who I am, it just me, my mind, my heart on this digital space. :)
I am writing and posting this as my first blog just in case you love to know who I am and why I am here.
To me, this blog is my creative outlet, my safe space to share my experience with hope to inspire you, women and moms who can resonate with my story.
